What is celebrated
International Labour Day has been celebrated since 1890 in commemoration of the Haymarket Massacre in Chicago (1886), where demonstrators fought for an eight-hour working day. In the Czech Republic, this day is a day off, but many people use it for their first spring trips to nature.
